2025 Multiple Formats Art Book Fair Motion Graphics

For the 2025 Multiple Fairs Art Book Fair, a Boston University. Art Book fair that brings together artists, designers, publishers, students, and enthusiasts to celebrate the dynamic intersection of art, design, and publishing. I created a promo video for one of the 150 exhibitors, Caitlin Lu, recipient of the 2025 Graphic Design Student to Watch. Inspired by the fair’s colorful, geometric identity, I used bold forms, vibrant colors, and playful transitions to craft motion graphics that captured the spirit of both the exhibitor and the event.

Multiple Fairs Logo Bumper

Using the Multiple Fairs’ graphic identity designed by Boston University BFA and MFA students Kate Ragosta, Bella Tuo, Jaylen Wang, and Chen Luo, I created a logo bumper for the fair. I was drawn to their use of typographic baseline shifts and angled positioning, which introduced movement and energy by breaking away from strict alignment. Inspired by this playful and dynamic approach, I incorporated motion that emphasized these qualities, bringing the fair’s identity to life in animation.

Promo Video Animation: Caitlin Lu

Caitlin Lu was one of the 150 exhibitors in the 2025 Multiple Formats Art Book Fair. As a recipient of the 2025 Graphic Design Student to Watch, Caitlin is an extremely experimental designer who specializes in crafting branding identities and immersive installations to build meaningful and impactful community-driven experiences. To present and showcase this amazing designer and her work while incorporating Multiple Formats’ visual identity, including their typeface, Gimlet. I created a playful promo that experimented with geometric shapes, dynamic rhythm, and engaging transitions to highlight Caitlin’s creativity and the energy of the fair. I created a motion graphic that feels lively, unexpected, and fully reflective of her bold, exploratory approach to design.
